Surely some of you also mistakenly thought that the Republican VP nominee was a member of Monty Python when they read the headline, "McCain picks Palin." If that had really been the case, I would have almost been tempted to vote for McCain in hopes that he might actually create a cabinet position for the Ministry of Silly Walks.

I was under the impression that selling children, slow or otherwise, was illegal. This seems to be a sign (no pun intended) that people are getting desperate to make money in this difficult economic climate.

As I prepare for DEFCON 16 at the Riviera in Las Vegas next week, I am faced with a bit of a dilemna: How will I find time to attend the Star Trek convention that is simultaneously being held across the street at the Las Vegas Hilton?Surely, I'm not the only one wondering this.
Due to DEFCON taking over the entire conference area of the hotel, this could be the biggest one yet. Past attendees like me probably can't wait to get back to the craziness... well, except for maybe this one:

For some reason I've lost the National Geographic HD channel, but I gained a bunch of other HD channels including ESPN HD. I guess I can't really complain.
